2. Use of This Website
This website is provided for informational purposes about our educational programmes. You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, its servers, or any associated systems.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the website at any time, without notice, for any reason we consider reasonable.
3. Course Enrolment
Enrolment in a course is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and a written confirmation from Bumi Capital. Submitting an enquiry or expression of interest does not constitute enrolment.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel any enrolment at our discretion. In the event that we cancel a confirmed enrolment, we will provide a full refund of fees paid.
Course places are limited and are allocated on a first-confirmed basis. We encourage prospective participants to enquire early, though we do not create urgency around availability.
4. Fees and Payment
The current course fees are as follows:
- A Reader's First Look at Household Finance (5 weeks) — S$225
- Income Investing with Local Instruments (7 weeks) — S$350
- Retirement Income and Withdrawal Sequencing (9 weeks) — S$485
All fees are quoted in Singapore dollars and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Fees are subject to change. The fee applicable to your enrolment is the one confirmed in writing at the time of your registration.
Payment instructions will be provided upon confirmation of your interest. Full payment is required before the course commences.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation by participant
- Cancellation more than 14 days before the course start date: full refund of fees paid, less any administrative processing costs.
- Cancellation 7–14 days before the course start date: 50% refund of fees paid.
- Cancellation fewer than 7 days before the course start date: no refund, except in cases of documented medical emergency or comparable circumstances, which we will consider on a case-by-case basis.
Cancellation by Bumi Capital
In the event that we cancel a scheduled course for any reason, all enrolled participants will receive a full refund of fees paid. Where practicable, we will offer participants an alternative intake date.
Transfer of place
You may request to transfer your enrolment to a different course intake with at least 14 days' notice, subject to availability. Transfers are permitted once per enrolment.
6. Course Delivery
Our courses are delivered in the format described at the time of enrolment — currently as group sessions conducted in-person or via a facilitated online format, as specified for each intake. We reserve the right to adjust the delivery method with reasonable notice if circumstances require it.
Course materials, including workbooks and reference documents provided during a course, are for personal use by enrolled participants only.
We make reasonable efforts to maintain the published schedule. In the event that a session must be rescheduled, we will notify enrolled participants as promptly as possible and offer a suitable alternative date.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website and all course materials — including written content, workbooks, presentation materials, and exercises — are the intellectual property of Bumi Capital or are used under licence. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any of this content without our prior written consent.
Enrolled participants may retain and use course materials for their personal reference. Personal notes taken during a course remain your own.
8. Conduct and Participation
We expect all participants to engage respectfully with facilitators and fellow participants. We reserve the right to remove a participant from a course — without refund — if their conduct is disruptive, disrespectful, or inconsistent with a collaborative learning environment.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, Bumi Capital shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or participation in our courses.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or in connection with these terms shall not exceed the fees you have paid to us for the relevant course.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. No Financial Advice
Our courses are educational in nature and are designed to improve financial literacy and planning awareness. Nothing in our courses, materials, or communications constitutes financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial product.
Participants are responsible for their own financial decisions. We encourage participants to consult a licensed financial adviser before making significant financial decisions. Bumi Capital is not licensed to provide financial advisory services under the Financial Advisers Act (Cap. 110) of Singapore.
11. Privacy
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. By using this website or enrolling in a course, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page with the date it was last revised. Your continued use of the website or participation in our programmes following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
